The Process

Where do we go from here?
First, I will meet with you for a free consultation, over the phone or in person depending on your needs and the details involved with the job. At this consultation, we will discuss the goals of the shoot and explore possibilities to get the best final product. When you decide that CirTerra, LLC Photography is the right choice for your needs/event, we will agree on what the specifics will be for the event, decide on a day, and we will sign a contract specifying the details of the shoot. If the job is a wedding or a photo shoot lasting more than 4 hours I require a 30% deposit to reserve the day. When shooting portraits (Children/Pets/Engagement), I leave enough time to extend the shoot if things are going well and both parties agree to shoot longer than originally agreed upon. For weddings, upon completion of the photo shoot I check with all the important people at the wedding (Bride/Groom/Parents/etc.) to make sure there are not any additional photographs to take. “Other photographers leave when the time is up. For me, it is too important a day to leave without checking first.”

Approximately 2 to 3 weeks prior to the event for a wedding, 1 to 2 weeks prior to the event for portraits, I will contact you to finalize the details prior to the photo shoot.

After the photo shoot I will supply you, the client, with the original digital files and/or negatives so you can use them over and over without paying anything additional. You can take your files/negatives to the local “photo mat” to get the cheapest reprints possible. They are your files/negatives. Unlike other studios, my pricing is not based on the number of prints ordered. My fees are for the time, materials, and complexity involved in the shoot itself rather than in providing the prints. However, if you choose to have me provide the prints, you will receive them on archival, museum quality paper for prints that will last a long time. My emphasis and fee is on the shoot not making money on the prints. I can also provide the prints, but at a lower price than other studios, primarily to cover my costs. By charging for the event, I am able to keep prices down so it encourages people to select more photos for printing. You can be confident that I will provide a wide range and number of quality photos for you.

One word of caution, if you decide to take your files/negatives to the local “photo mat” and they scratch the negatives (which is not uncommon), or they corrupt the digital files, we can not be responsible as you will have the original and only negatives. If you decide to have me print your pictures for you, they will be treated with care, color checked, and returned to you in pristine condition. It is your day and your decision.
